For vehicles 20 years or newer, a title is required. For vehicles older than 20 years, you can still sell without a title — but you’ll need to:

• Sign our No Title Agreement Form confirming you’re the rightful owner and that there are no liens on the vehicle.

• Provide a valid photo ID at the time of sale.

At S&E Auto Recycling, we follow a strict process to safely and responsibly recycle catalytic converters (cats) & DPFs:

Licensed Purchasing

• We only buy catalytic converters and DPFs from licensed sellers (required by law).

• Sellers must provide valid ID, EIN, and in some cases, additional paperwork may be required.

Identification & Fair Pricing

• Every catalytic converter has a serial code stamped on it.

• We use that code to identify the converter type and determine its current market value.

• This ensures you get paid fairly and accurately based on today’s prices, not a guess.

Cutting & Processing

• Once documented, converters are safely cut open to remove the ceramic honeycomb inside.

• The honeycomb contains precious metals like platinum, palladium, and rhodium.

Recycling & Refining

• The material is sent to a refinery, where the metals are extracted and recycled for reuse in new parts and industrial applications.

• Remaining scrap is disposed of or recycled according to environmental standards.

Yes — we sell affordable, quality-tested used parts pulled directly from recycled vehicles. Buying used parts saves you money while keeping vehicles on the road longer.

Our regular business hours are:

• Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Saturday – Sunday: Closed
