About Us
Our About Us page shares the story of S&E — from our early beginnings in a small garage with big dreams, to the growth that pushed us into bigger spaces, to where we are today with a full facility in Plattsmouth. It’s a look at the hard work, the people, and the vision that built S&E, and a glimpse of where we’re headed next.
How It All Began.
S&E began with a dream. In February 2020, I left my job because I knew I was meant for something bigger. What started in a small garage with just a couple of friends quickly grew into more than just a business — it became a vision for creating opportunity, helping our community, and building something we could be proud of.
From those humble beginnings, S&E has grown into a trusted name in recycling and auto parts. Every car we pick up, every part we process, and every customer we help reminds us why we started: to turn big dreams into reality, and to prove that with hard work and heart, anything is possible.
The Next Step.
As word spread and more people trusted us, S&E quickly outgrew the little garage where it all began. We moved into a bigger space to keep up with the demand, and our work with catalytic converters became a huge part of what we did every day. What started as just a few jobs with friends turned into a busy operation, with trucks coming in, parts moving out, and the realization that S&E was becoming something bigger than we imagined.
Where We Are Now.
Today, S&E is proud to call Plattsmouth home. We’ve grown into a full-scale recycling and parts operation with a double-cutter catalytic decanning facility, two loaders, two skid steers, and a material handler working daily. Our cat shell pile now stands taller than the material handler itself — a true sign of how far we’ve come.
Every car that comes through our gates is crushed and shipped to Lakeside Auto Recyclers in Carter Lake, keeping the recycling process moving full circle. On top of that, we’ve expanded into running a parts store, giving our customers reliable and affordable options straight from our yard. What once started in a garage is now a busy operation with five dedicated employees who keep S&E moving forward every day.

The Future Of S&E
The future of S&E is about growth, innovation, and community. We’re constantly investing in better equipment, expanding our services, and finding new ways to recycle more efficiently. Our goal is to keep creating opportunities here in Plattsmouth, serve more customers across the region, and build S&E into a name people trust for generations to come.
What started as a dream in a garage has already grown beyond what we imagined — and this is just the beginning.
